Carers in Partnership.

It remains the long-standing mission of Carers in Partnership CIC (CiP) to -

“promote the carer voice in the way that mental health services are planned, set up and run”.

Carers identify six different roles, each of which supports that aim -

  • co-providers of support for users of the service
  • clients of those providing carer services
  • colleagues in the drive towards quality, innovation, productivity and prevention - QIPP
  • ‘critical friend’ of mental health commissioners
  • contributors to training, CPD and workforce development
  • capable collaborators for Healthwatch re mental health or carers

CiP is steadily building capacity to provide commissioned services that produce quality ‘deliverables’ and ‘outcomes’ that provide value for money for both commissioners and providers. Further client groups include third sector providers and bodies such as universities, some Royal Colleges, local authorities and organisations concerned with community engagement, including the emerging ‘Healthwatch’.

Promoting the Carers' Voice in the way Mental Health Services are Planned, Implemented and Run.
